ive had my tank going for about a month now and I went through the diatom stage and now its just green hair algae everywhere....is this normal? and what should I do...Ive got 4 scarlet hemits and 3 cerith snails...going to get some astreas tomorrow...any other good ideas or opinons?

what kind of water are you using? RO/DI, tap, etc???

Hair algae is fairly common, but large infestation are more rare. Since the tank is small, I'd just pull out whatever hair algae was easy to reach, as a way to export nutrients. How much food is going into the tank?

i use RO water and I feed once a day...pellets one day and brine shrimp the next
