Hey all,
I just got a 36" 2x150HQI sunpod for my 40G tank. Its really sweet and my corals are loving it, but its tipping the temp of the tank up too high. I have a couple of portable fans blowing for now, but I am wondering if anyone has ever added more fans to the unit itself? It seems to have 2 fans that are on top of the unit that blow out, but the smaller Sunpods (like the 70w) that I used to have for my nano, have fans on the ends. I am wondering if putting a fan on the end (in addition to the ones on top) to get some lateral air flow would help at all? Or am I basically looking a chiller now? Anyone have any ideas?
