I have a 90 gallon mixed reef. I have 3 chromis, 2 clowns, 2 gobies, and an Anthia. I also have a cleaner shrimp, and a ton of nassariuss(sp) snails. Me and my wife have started looking at the wrasses. What are some good species to add to our tank? I like the Fairy wrasses. I also like the yellow wrasses. What are some reef safe wrasses?

Also do they bother the nassarius snails?

I have a Sollerensis which is amazing.. Very hardy, eats like a little piglet and has wonderful color.. Also just got a mystery wrasse.. He was expensive, but stunning to look at...

I would say they are Reef Safe. The Have had no problems with the Sollar, and the Mystery doesn't touch anything... I keep them well fead...

lilchris: I currently have lineatus, labouti, rhomboid, aust-scotts, hooded, and pink margin fairy wrasses. Personally for the money and color the pink margin is the way to go. If money isn't an problem then the lineatus, rhomboid, hooded, labouti, hawaiian flame, and pylei are great options. I've had a mystery before and he was very temperamental towards my other wrasses. Some inexpensive choices are the pink margin, aust-scotts and exquisite. Also, pairing w/female will help a lot with color. Goodluck!
