I am about to get my Aquatronica P/P next week, I was wondering if there is a way to use it with a Mac computer running OSX. I am particularly concern about updates and programing.

Thanks for any info

Hey; I use aquatrtonica all the time with my MAC - just run parallels. This enables you to open win xp in a window in mac os. works really well with aquatronica.

If you can just think different, you will switch to a Mac in a second :D. I have been trying to get ahead of the game with info here. Now I can go connect the equipment

Hey Roger, I am thinking of getting an Aquatronica and was wondering how to run it with my mac.
Do I get bootcamp, or do I get parallels? With parallels, do I need to get a XP or windows installed? I really don't want to install windows. But if I have to...

Anyway, how do you like your Aquatronica? Would you trade it for a Profilux?
I don't have a Profilux, but I can't seem to make up my mind on which to buy.

Thanks,
Bill

Parallels is really clever. You can run windows in the background (Coherence), so that the windows program is "integrated" into you OSX. But you will need to install windows, as with bootcamp. No way around that I'm afraid.

I am happy to inform that I was able to connect and fully utilized the aquatronica software with my Mac running Parallels and win xp. It was very simple and had no issues.
I downloaded waldo's aquatronica data logger and will be testing that one sometime this week.

Good luck - shout if you need help on the AquaStats program. I designed it on a Mac and use it on a Mac 90% of the time... So you are in luck ;)
