We are always looking for new and useful lighting fixtures. With the increase sales of 60" tanks we have been getting more and more requests for 60" fixtures. For a long time we have been offering our 60" MH/T5 Classic fixture but now feel there should be a 60" T5 fixture for those who want it. My question to you is of our three series of T5 fixtures, which would you like to see in a 60" size?

Just so everyone is familiar with what each fixture is, below is a quick run down on each series.

TX5: 5 lamp T5 fixture / 9 1/2" wide / lamps setup in a parabolic pattern

Constellation: 7 lamp T5 fixture / 14" wide / linear setup of lamps

Solar Flare: 6 lamp T5 fixture powered by IceCap VHO ballasts / 15" wide / linear setup with LED moonlights.

Thank you,

Tom

If I had to vote for one I would vote for the Constellation. Middle pricepoint and middle of the group as for output but plenty for most corals and wide enough to disperse the light well in a wide tank

Constellation...but with moonlights! Only thing I don't like about my TX5 fixture.

I agree, that is the only thing I dislike about my constellation is the fact I have external moonlights.

Ok. bkdaaa and MJAnderson (and to everyone else too ). If we were going to add built in moonlights, one of two things we would have to do. Either remove the center row of T5s or make the fixtures and inch or so wider. ( 15" instead of 14" for the Constellation and 10 1/2" instead of 9 1/2" for the TX5 ). Is this something people would still be interested in?

Thank you all for your input.

I don't see the extra width being a problem. There are some skinny 4' tanks (like my 72 bow) where width is an issue but 5' tanks are usually 60x24xsomething.

Solar Flare in 72"...so my vote would be Solar Flare 60"

If they were high output LED's, so as to make a shimmering effect.:)
