I'm going from 2x150 20k's to 2x250 14k's. What would be the best way to acclimate my corals to the light? I heard shorter photo period, right now it's 10 hrs, should i start the new lights at 4or5 hrs. Any sugg please, thanks
i would try using some winow screening or egg crate over the tank. remove a layer every day or every other day until all the layers are gone.
or if its a pendant type, just start them up high and slowly raise them down over like 2 weeks.

I've tried the window screening. My suggestion (which im doing right now) is i was told that corals reach their maximum light intake at 4 hours. So i only run them for 4 hours for a week and then increase the photoperiod one hour every other day. It works well, but it's only a suggestion! HTH

i went from 2x96 pc's to 2x250 mh's, i did the same as you mentioned, shorten the photo period by half, add an hour a week. i prefer to acclimate a little slower just to be on the safe side.
