I've got my 10Gal QT set up and we'd like to get another fish, and a couple new shrimps. Could I put a cleaner shrimp or two and a fish into the tank at the same time? Should I add a rock or something from the tank to help seed the bacteria? The little sponge filter doesn't seem like much....

Thx
Jason

Dont add the rock...from everything i've heard, stuff like ich goes through a life cycle...part of it is in the rocks, and part is on the actual fish. So if you get the fish, and it has ich, the ich gets on the rock, and even if you leave the fish in there for 3 weeks or whatever...the ich could jump back on him before you put it in your tank, making the qt completely pointless. And then it could also stay on your rock for a while and if you get another fish and put that into qt after the first one...that one could end up with it...

Ok. No rock. How many critters can go in the tank at time?

Thx

You should be fine w/what you were looking to get. I'm not so sure how necessary it is to QT inverts though, so that may not be needed

I'd rather QT and play it safe. Lost my Idol recently and learned my lesson.

Thanks for the help.
