when i first had the tank and it went through the first cycle, after some alge started to grow i went and got 6 black turbos it has been 3-4 months now and slowly all of them have died off but one and i think that it is going to go any ideas

i have:
55 gal
10 gal sump
amonia 0
nitrate trace
nitrite trace (what i mean is the card that i have the color is very close to having nothing but its in between)
ph is 8.0
salinity 1.024

i do water changes once a week with ro di water

do you still have algae growing in your tank? maybe their hungry?

Mexican turbos are not long lived in our tanks. Anything else maybe preying on them?

When you say black turbos, would these be the same snails commonly called "margarita snails?" If so these snails (Tegula) are cold to temperate water snails and don't last long at reef temps. Some species of Turbo also have the same problem.
