I made a fuge/sump out of an old Sealife Systems sump. The first section is going to be the fuge with a light on top. The second will contain live rock. How can I block the fuge light from entering the live rock (2nd) section?

How about one like this. Then slide in a black peace of acrylic between them.

Get either a thicker sheet of black acrylic, or just paint the inside walls with black paint?? :)

I was wondering if I could paint the bulkhead between the two sections since water will be flowing through. Will the paint start to break down?

Around here black acrylic is expensive, use ABS plastic instead although I think that is what everyone meant. :)

1/16" black acrylic works great on mine. Only cost me like $8 for a 2' x 4' piece.
