Basically looking for a kitchen timer that controls an outlet. For water change purposes, want to "wind the timer" for one hour, after which the timer shuts off the outlet. Anyone know of one? Thanks.

You can use a regular light timer and wire an outlet to it. It will work just fine.

Look for a timer that typically controls a spa or hot tub. It's common at local hw store.

i could. was hoping for something simple. I.e., wind it up to an hour and forget about it. Considering that I am not going to change water at same time each week, do not want to have to readjust it each week.
