I was wondering what lighting options a newb would have available to them. I am planning on eventually evolving my tank into a reef tank, and would like sufficient lighting to sustain the coral. But at the same time, I am not ready to invest in MH lighting. I will eventually purchase MH lighting, but its not an option at this time. What other lighting choices are there? Manufacturers I should be looking at? Thanks!

What corals specifically do you want to keep? What is your tank size/dimensions? I'd say if you are not ready for MH lighing you would be happy with T5 HO lights. The Sunlight Supply Tek fixtures are nice. ;)

Whats the difference between T5 and T6?

T6 bulbs are a little larger than T5's in diameter, but I don't think that they are used for aquariums as far as I know.
