I have a Niger Trigger with a Maroon Clown with no problems - they have been together in a 50, 120, and 180g tanks.

Maroon and umm how's the blueline temper? I had a 2.5inch niger before it didnt bug my OC clowns but slaughtered my fire fish.

maroon is the more aggressive clown (mentioned) but i have a hard time seeing it causing any real damage to any trigger.

somebody call me out if im wrong, but i believe blueline trigs were known as the ticking time bombs. they may be passive for a while but will, sooner or later, go beserk and destroy anything in the tank. sorta like a clown trigger.

odd about the niger trig... they along with crosshatch and bluethroat are supposed to be the more passive ones. was the firefish a later addition? that might explain it.

yeah latter addition, it chased them down and took a big chunck out of its tail and ripped out its insides. A ticking time bomb? Would it be better to add it last? bluelines are like clowns than how about picasso's?

All triggers can be pricks. Nigers that kill chase/pound fish, humu's that attack......blue jaws will hold their ground, but not generally attack, same I would guess for the sargassum and crosshatch (they are built the same).
