I am looking at the BFS-161 Premium Series 75 gpd RO/DI System. My tap water is about 550-600PPM TDS.

1) What are the maximum dimensions of the unit (L, W, D)? I need to make sure it can be permanently affixed to the wall in my available space.

2) Does it come ready-to-be wall mounted or do I need additional brackets?

3) What is your expected turnaround time from placement of an order to shipping?

4) Is the unit essentially plug & play outside of hooking it up to the main water supply?

5) How accessible is the valve that provides access to RO water before it enters the DI housing? In other words, is the placement of the valve such that I could place a gallon jug under it for filling purposes or does the valve have some tubing coming off of it for the filling of jugs, etc.?

6) What is the rating (%) of the Filmtec membrane and is it pre-tested or guaranteed to reach a minimum rating (e.g. 98% rejection, etc.)?

Thanks,

Mitch

Hi Mitch - thanks for the message. I'll go through them each:

[B]I am looking at the BFS-161 Premium Series 75 gpd RO/DI System. My tap water is about 550-600PPM TDS.

1) What are the maximum dimensions of the unit (L, W, D)? I need to make sure it can be permanently affixed to the wall in my available space.

Width is 18", and you'd want at least a couple of inches on each side of it for tubing. This can be reduced to 16.5" if needed - we can install elbow fittings rather than straight fittings if needed on the in port of the sediment housing and the out port of the DI housing. The unit is 15" high, and you'll want at least an inch clearance below the housings to unscrew them and change filters. The total depth of the system is about 7.5 inches - an 1" or more of that is due to the pressure gauge extending beyond the front of the bracket.

2) Does it come ready-to-be wall mounted or do I need additional brackets?

It is ready to mount as is. It has two keyhole slots in the back of the bracket so it can hang on two screws.

3) What is your expected turnaround time from placement of an order to shipping?

It would go out on the day you order it or the day after. Remember UPS doesn't move over the weekends.

4) Is the unit essentially plug & play outside of hooking it up to the main water supply?

Yes!

5) How accessible is the valve that provides access to RO water before it enters the DI housing? In other words, is the placement of the valve such that I could place a gallon jug under it for filling purposes or does the valve have some tubing coming off of it for the filling of jugs, etc.?

Normally there is about 12 inches of tubing with a quarter turn, quick connect ball valve on the end of the "DI-Bypass." If you'd like more tubing for your convenience we can do that - not a problem.

6) What is the rating (%) of the Filmtec membrane and is it pre-tested or guaranteed to reach a minimum rating (e.g. 98% rejection, etc.)?

The stabilized salt rejection of the Filmtec 75 gpd membrane is 98%. Wet tested elements (which we have in stock and can supply to you) are no lower than 96%. Test conditions: 77 degrees F water, 50 psi, 250 ppm feed water. These are VERY good membranes, recognized as the gold standard in the industry. The minimum rejection rate is guaranteed by Filmtec.

ALSO - don't forget this system comes with a TDS meter!

Good questions!
Russ
