I have a small tank 29 gallons. I need a really good skimmer for a decent price? I am looking for one that will get rid of a lot of waste from predators. I would like one that hangs off the back. I know that limits me. I really need a good one can anyone lend me their expertise?
I have a rio nano skimmer and it is not doing a very good job???

I don’t have a lot of experience in this area but I did some research for my 65 and decided on a Remora Pro; does a great job and is easy to use. I think an Aqua C Remora would work fine.

Tunze has some small HOB skimmers too.

I believe the Tunze skimmers, even the Tunze Nano, is an in-tank skimmer. The DOC skimmers are in-tank or in-sump. If you are looking for hang-on back, I've been pleased with the performance of my AquaC Remora. It's fine for smaller tanks. ;)

Correct drummereef. No Tunze HOB skimmers. I realized it was the AquaC Remora that I had seen searching skimmers the other day.

the cpr bakpac the one with out the bio filter is a good one for that tank.
and if you dont have a sump or a refugium
cpr makes a hang on the back aqua fuge with a skimmer and the combo will be all you need for filteration if you have pleanty of rocl in your tank.

The farther away you stay from seaclone, the better off you will be.

Maybe you've seen it's code name, the SeaClown. Definitely not a serious choice for the dedicated reefer. ;)

if your wanting one that has been proven over and over i would say the tunze 9010 is the answer. especially if its a predator tank with alot of waste

What about a Deltec MCE 600/or 300. It fits on the back of a the tank or on a sump!

I have the Deltec MCE300 on a 20G and it works great. It pulls out dark green skimmate. I would recommend it if you can afford it. Check out the review of it in the Deltec Forum.
