Is it as easy as any other? Just break/cut a piece off and let it heal? With what should I use to cut it?

The store where I just bought a frag of pink/blue chalice from uses a diamond tipped table saw and slices right through it very quickly and thats it. You could also use a dremel cut off wheel if you wanted. I've done that several times with other corals and I don't see why it wouldn't work on chalice.

just make sure that you don't heat up the coral.

Yeah, you can cut it pretty much anyway that you want, just make sure you cut it quickly so as not to cause any excessive heat exposure like jessp said. Thats why using a diamond tipped blade is good because it is very sharp and does not get dull so it cuts through the rock/skeleton very quickly and causes very little tissue damage.
