If you got salt water in the electronics, my guess is you're probably not in a good position.

You may find that rinsing well with clean, fresh water (RO/DI would be ideal) and then letting it dry out completely MAY help if you find you're out of options - it's something I'd want to try sooner rather than later though, as salt is corrosive and can easily damage electronics if left for too long.

As Manaz said. What got wet the driver or the controller or both?

i think just the driver. it makes a low pitch continous noise when plugged in, and if i connect it to the controller the controller acts eratically.

I would open the driver and check, very minor damage to a connection or damage from freshwater may be remedied by washing the unit in distilled or RO/DI water and letting it dry thoroughly. For good measure I would wash it with 90% or higher isopropyl alcohol as well.

Otherwise I could offer you a new driver at a discount.
