Should I place a tiny powerhead in my refugium. I see a current that flows at the top but my macroalgae seems to sit in on place.
Also, I place my retro 65w PC on top for lighting. The bulb is a 50/50. Will that do the trick. I know daylight is better but I have 4 left over and would like to use them and save some money.

I put a small power head in my ref and it works great. It was the one with the oscillating outlet nozzle so it keeps the water stirred up pretty good.

I was thinking about that but how do you avoid your sandbed from getting all distrupted?

Doesn't bother my sand bed at all. I'm using a Power Sweep power head, it has a flow director so I just aim it towards the surface, I think the power head is sized for a 20g tank so you want to size it accordingly.
