View Full Version : Where's a good place online to get a cleanup crew?

I need a clean up crew for my 10gal. My LFS sucks at stocking them (all they ever have are hermits). So I'm going to have to go online. I'm not really happy about having to spend all the $$$ on s/h for just a few critters but this is how it has to be. I thought about going in w/ a friend that has a 75gal. to get it, but he doesn't want to (or doesnt' need to).

So, what are some good online vendors to get a clean up crew from? TIA.

I got mine from GARF when I started my 50. This time (I just started up a new 125) I got some from my LFS, but I was really happy with the GARF package. Also got the Grunge while I was at it - www.garf.org and click on 'Algae Central' on the left. I'm sure GARF would be happy to customize a package for you if you want to avoid hermits!

I bought some of mine from liveaquaria.com and i was happy with them but the minimum package is 30g. You might be better off buying 1-2 of a few species instead of the package for your 10g.

PrivateJoker64: Have you ordered from them? How much was s/h? What did you order and how did you like it? If it was a cleanup crew, how did they work? I really like that they offer Priority shipping for the critters I'm looking at. And they are cheaper then most of the places I've seen.

I always get my cleanup crews from my LFS. That way I can hand pick the species I want. ;)

Well my cleanup crew came today at 10:30 everything was packaged well and all the invertebrates looked healthy. Ken's service was amazing throughout the entire order and he even threw in an extra 1-4 snails in crabs per species. I would definitly recommend ordering from Ken at sealifeflorida

Sealife or eTropicals build your own package. I've ordered from both and would order again from either one. The etropicals build your own package include overnight shipping with a $60 order. Sealife is a very good vendor too.

Thanks for remembering me. What kind of shipping method did you choose (FedEx or USPS Priority).

Thanks everyone for your replies.

I used Fedex Express but that was only because i bought a fish as well... they would probably be fine in the USPS though
