I was at my LFS and noticed that they had 12" T-5 for sale (bulbs). The reason it drew my attention is because I have a 12g nano, so I was wondering if anyone has seen 12" T-5 and are they recommended in the reef aquaria. It is 8w, but had kelvin ratings of up to 20k and 14k.
Any and every insight will be high praised.

Here are more normal output T5 lamps as short as 11.5":

There are even smaller (9"-46" lengths) T4 lamps:

Unfortunately, I don't find T5HO lamps shorter than 22":

That's a shame! I wish I could buy 12" t-5 HO for dawn/dusk on my 30 cube. I have a 150W HQI and would love to add up to 4 12" HO T-5's.

Why let the PC bulbs rule the nano/pico/fuge/small grow-out tank? Why not a 12" t-5 HO bulb?????
