I have a heavily stocked 55 at the moment. My coralife skimmer is not getting the job done. I want to upgrade skimmers and might upgrade to a 150 gallon tank in the not too distant future. Any recommendations on something that can skim a 150 too? I have read many threads about deltec, h&S, ATI, etc. I would like to keep it around 300 dollars if possible, but am open to suggestions if there is something spectacular out their for more. I guess the only limit I have right now is that my cabinet is only 28 inches tall. This would be going in my 20 gallon sump. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I bought a Kent Marine Nautalis TE about a month ago for my 120g and I'm very happy with it. It's extremely simple to set-up and adjust, had almost no break in time, it's rated up to 300g, and it pulls a lot of skimmate. I spent $209 at my LFS, so I'm sure you can get them much cheaper on-line (I'm scared to look). You do need to by a pump for it as well - a MJ9 is recommened - but still it should fit your budget. You could spend more, but why?
Also, I don't have the dimensions in front of me, but it should fit your 28in cabinet with room to spare.
