Hello reefcentral,

I would like some recommendations or advice on some possible skimmers to buy. My new tank will be 100g total volume, sps dominated, and a heavy bioload. I'd like to stay around the $450 range if possible. Your opinions and experience with them will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Take a look at the new ATi BM160 $459 that is being released this week. Capacity up to 100g heavy or 150g normal. I have one pre-ordered for myself. Suppose to perform as well as the high end needlewheel skimmers.

I second the DAS ex2 or the $439 Orca recirc (protein-skimmer.com)

Thanks guys. I forgot to mention it will be BB as well. I'm actually talking to orca right now. May consider having one built.

Reef sponger who did you preorder from?

Keep the suggestions comming. Thanks again.

Alright so I called Reefgeek and got on the waiting list for the BM160. He said they should ship out later this week or the week after and that I should be able to get one off of this shipment. I'm not sure if he said they were in yet or not. Something about waiting on some forms or something before shipping.

So I guess I've made my choice. Thanks guys.
