Hello.
I would like to know whats the best way to use
Granular ferric Oxide that twoparts sell.
I heard you cant use it in a canister filter that is has to be used in a fluidized bed filter is this true?

A reactor, such as a PhosBan reactor, would probably be most efficient. ;)

Lots of people do use canisters, though. Either way can work, in most cases.

I'm under the impression that GFO pellets are meant for media bags and GFO granules are meant for reactors. Pellets are more durable and ideal for turbulent conditions. Granules have more surface area and are ideal for use in controlled reactor conditions.

I believe that the highest performance is obtained with GFO granules in reactors.

Well I don't know about higher performance, but I use PhoSar in a canister filter and have zero phosphates. :)
