I have removed almost all my softies out of my NC24gal and installed a chiller and Im now ready to trun my 24NC into a sps dominated mini reef. Can anyone say water flow.
I put a Hydor k1 in and was not impressed in the flow. Now sure if I want to get the upgraded 2 or 3 or try the Tunze Nano Stream 6025.
I have a MJ1200 for the return pump....Any Idea's

IMO 2 MJ900's would be fine...however, I have 2-MJ900's, 1-MJ600 and 1-MJ400 plugged into a Red Sea WaveMaster Pro...My return is a Rio1700 which is located in a sump below the tank. I added on a Kent Marine PhosReactor...and JBJ 5 Watt Submariner UV Sterilizer. Over all I believe my total volume tank turnover ratio is some around 30+/hr. (I figured with sps corals...the tank needed more water flow to keep all things happy).
I hope this helped much...just keep in mind that not every project we start will end up being a successful one. Good luck.

I did place a MJ900 in there and it got things moving, I just don't like the fact that you can not aim it as much. I would also like a wider gentaler water movement like my vortech in the big tank :)

I've got 2 tunze 6025's and 2 MJ900's in my 20xh. Of course even then with the dense rock and packed tank, there are still low flow areas for LPS and softies. With less rock structure just the 2 tunze's would most likely do.

Man thats crazy, I guess I am spoiled on the Vortech. I will get 2 tunze's to start with i guess....
