I had pressure fit acrylic baffles in before which wasn't working to well. Yesterday I drained the sump, cleaned it out and siliconed in new acrylic baffles.

I know that silicon doesn't adhere to acrylic, but my thought was it adheres to the glass which should keep the baffles from moving forward or back. I can't seem to find a glass shop around here.

It says it takes 24 hours to fully cure. I siliconed it all in last night at 11pm. This morning at 7am I wasn't sure if I had enough and added some to the small 4" baffle. Does anybody know if it is safe to put water in around 10 pm tonight? Thats 23 hours and 15 hours for the small baffles I added some more to. I'd just like to get the equipment up and running again on my tank or should I wait until tomorrow.

I would add 24 hours to the last application.

For a safe bet, wait the 24 hours before adding water.

I ended up waiting. So hard when I had my new skimmer waiting to be used. Filled it up this morning and they seem to be holding great.

That is great to hear. I know how it is to wait. It's really hard sometimes!
