Good skimmer, deep sand bed, live rock, flow and your fuge should do it. Also, don't forget a good water source (ro/di unit)!
If you want to go barebottom, then I'd recommend a lot of flow and a top of the line skimmer. Are looking for anything specific such as skimmer types, types of overall systems (i.e. Berlin, Jaubert etc.)?

If you plan to make a fish only tank out of it, then stay with the emporer....if you plan to make a reef tank, throw the emproer in the back of the closet and utilize the live rock and sand for filtration. Could keep the emporer going for mechanical filtration but you'll need to remove the biowheel and any biopad media.

Filtration? FILTRATION? I don' need no stinkin' filtration.

Skimmer, rock, and sand bed does it all.
