I have mine on a seperate rock 'island' so to speak. That way I can remove the rock for fragging when needed. ;)

how fast do you want them to pulse?
the closer, the faster.
I used to love watching them on the car-ride to the LFS when the sunlight could hit them WOW did they pulse like there was no tomorrow
I would put it up high on a peak. it will move uphill anyway, if you don't. it is a potential pest, so be choosy where you put it.
yeah, kind of easy on the flow. they make their own flow.

i have mine in one of those floating breeder things...im trying to get them to seperate a little more before i put them in the tank

Do all xenia pulse, or just certain kinds?
