I've had my frag for about 2 months now and it has encrusted nicely, but I'm not sure where to put it and how it grows. Tyree's mother colony looks like it just encrusts like crazy, so I might need to find a rock that is really flat.

How is everyone keeping their purple unknowns? (Light, flow, etc.)

I keep mine about 12 inches below a 400watt, but if it was lower I think the blue would be more intense. Mine encrusted for months before it started to grow up. It gets major flow

Man Pico1, that seems ballsy! :) It's like it's about to be sacrificed into that bubble coral!

So in other words.....another unimpressive tricolor? What makes this coral LE status? I dont see it!

I admit that was a negative post, however, I was actually trying to take it back when i clicked on it, but it didnt work. I just get a little miffed as to why this coral is LE status when almost everyone I have seen has not been LE type impressive. Its not meant to be personal so chill out dude. Oh and if you are going to berate me...at least use proper grammar or your risk clowning yourself.

Hey Snaps, I've been meaning to ask you if you have a tank thread up somewhere? That blasto in your avatar looks cool and I'd like to see your whole tank.

The growth pattern is what makes it unique. This particular acro grows a huge base before growing verticle branches.

To each their own, but I really like this one. To be fair, I have spent more money on corals that are not nearly as cool considering the going rates for LE Purple Unknowns.

Thats a good idea Xerox. I am starting to get pics into a photobucket account(my camera is full of pics but my cords are in a buddies car) actually so I'll start a thread up. I am actually about to build either a 120 or 180 and may just start a build thread there showing the transfer over from the 55 to the 180. Unfortunately I may have to get rid of my sps when I go to law school as I will be broke and have alot less time to spend on the tank. I have seen yours...you have some of the corals that truly deserve LE status. I hope everyone knew what I meant...it seems like LE is getting slapped on alot of corals today, albeit there are qutie a few that do deserve it while some dont.
