I'm looking for a super cheapo tank to use for fragging. 2'x2' or 2'x3'. 10-14" deep. really would like something that I can find at a home depot, lowes or some other type store to avoid shipping charges. any suggestions?

go to walmart and find a plastic container, that suits your needs!

those things hold up over time? all of them seem so thin walled.

a pond liner and some creative lumber construction. You can go as big as you want.

If you get a rubbermaid plastic tub from HD, Lowes, or Target is there anything you need to pay attention to? Food safe? Or can you just use whatever plastic contain suites your needs?

Get food grade to be on the safe side. You wouldn't want anything trying to leech on ya.

I found this page that talks about the various plastic codes. a lot of those things at the big box places seem to be code 5.

Usually the label will say if it is food grade or safe for food or food storage. Look for something like that.

How about just making your own? You can probably buy some acrylic from a local plastic shop (even have them cut it for you: just be sure to tell them that they are finish cuts). That way you will get what you want size wise, but you won't have to worry about whether or not the plastic container will leach anything. :D
