My 02

The eye problem is a bacterial issue often associated with an eye injury (or in your case its likely an ich trophont attached to the eye creating a wound). In some cases this will clear up on its own assuming the fish is in good health and water conditions are good. If you don't see progress then you need to QT and treat with an antibiotic.

I think Nosickfish is a waste of money .. do a search on RC for that outfit and make up your own mind .. some pretty nasty posts concerning the product, management and marketing practice. The simple fact is that people have been looking for an Ich cure that works safely/consistently in a reef tank forever .. if anyone had such a product everyone would know it .. no such animal exist to date.

If you want to eliminate ich then you need to QT all fish .. treat the fish with hyposalinity or copper in a QT. If you leave the show tank without fish for about 5 weeks the ich remaiing in the show tank will naturally die off.

Heres a link discussing ich .. pay attention to diagram outlining the ich life cycle. The treatment section will give you info about how to setup a QT, how to treat with hypo, and how to use copper (cupramine).

Best to treat the fish with a proper antibiotic such as Maracyn 2 or Nitrofuran. Popping the gas bubble might relieve the pressure, but it doesn't do anything to treat the infection. Those melafix and pimafix type remedies I've also found to be lacking in effectiveness.

As for NSF, if you feel like wasting some money and possibly/probably loosing some fish to ich, go ahead and try it. I know several people (including myself) that have tried and lost fish without any being cured. Haven't found anyone that isn't involved in marketing the product that's claimed it worked.
