Hi Gang
I never really check this part of the boards but I guess if im shooting for an SPS dominated tank I better make it my new home. :D
I am in the process of setting up my 190 witch is almost completed. So far this is a list of what im running:
Tank:
190 gallon 60lx30tx24w starfire
Lights:
(2) 400watt 20K radiums with Galaxy electronic ballasts
Flow:
(1) Tunze 6100
(1) modded MJ 1200
(1) modded Tunze 6045
Dart return pump
Sump:
MRC reef sump with refugium
Skimmer:
Euroreef RS250 modded to RC250
Calcium Reactor:
Koralin C-1502
I just ordered a GEO kalk reactor and plan in the near future to pick up another Tunze 6100, controller, and maybe a wave box.
I never really test my tank so what should I be testing for?

Nice start....you are doing it right. If you take it slow and do lots of research you should have not too many road bumps.
I was going to say that flow looks a little weak so the extra 6100 and or the wavebox is good.
As for testing......well ALKalinity, Calcium for sure and less important but still good to test for is Magnesium. And if nutrients are a problem, Nitrate and phosphates as well.

test for alkalinity, calcium, magnesium, phosphates, nitrate, and ph. Thats all the real imporant test.

I have a feeling you did lots of research before choosing your 20K Radiums w/galaxy ballasts. What made you choose these ones?

Like the folks above said...
Alk, Calcium, Magnesium. Especially if you are running a Calcium reactor or dosing 2 part.
Nitrate, Phosphates, pH and Ammonia is also important.
I ike a constant reading of my temp and pH so I use a ACjr, plus its a controller.

Ya..
I knew i wanted to run 400 watts beacause of the 30 inch tall tank.
I used to go to **********.com (storfront was called Central Aquarium) and thats what they ran on the SPS tanks.
I liked the color. They ran 250 watts and i just bumped it up to 400.

I love your sump! It's so neat and well thought out. I need to make sure I do the same thing in the future. That matting in there seems like a really good idea.

Flow is a little weak right now. There is a 6100 in place of the Seio shown in the pic.
I need to work on this.

Is that right? They used to run 250's? Hmmmm....maybe I could do that. I'm afraid of too much heat from 400's. Hmm, hmmm, hmmm
