I am looking for a skimmer upgrade on my 75 sps dominated tank in the near future. I currently have a Deltec APF600. I want to have open options because I plan to upgrade in the future (possibly 150g +) and also want plenty of leeway in my current tank for more fish, extra feedings. I was thinking maybe the BM 200 (I think 250 would be mega-overkill and may not even work all that well). Since I haven't had these skimmers before, I need some advice on this. I would prefer to at least be a step up performance wise from my APF600 (maybe comparable to an AP701 or the like).

Definitely BM200 as it will give you similar performance to the Deltec AP701. Here's the info that I rec'd about the BM skimmers:
ATI BM200 Internal ~ $549
Clearance Needed: 13"L x 9.5"W x 21.25"H
Dimensions: 12.7"L x 8.6"W x 19.2"H
Energy Consumption: 22 watts
Air Draw: 1,100lph
Suggested Capacity: up to 200g heavy, 250 normal

The BM160 would actually be more than enough for now. But with the 150+g upgrade, the BM200 would be a better fit and you can always tune it down for now and rev it back up when you have your 150+g.
I wouldn't recommend the BM250 for your setup because you don't need it and it might not perform as well as the BM200 or the BM160 on small size setups.

Yeah, I figured it would be overkill. Besides, getting the BM200 will allow me to actually make money when I do sell my APF600 (which is still and excellent skimmer). I do want a skimmer that actually performs and doesn't just sit there all the time. How would I go about tuning down the BM200?

Thanks, that is probably what I am going to go with.

Amphirion, what did you end up getting?? I oredered the BM160 from KMA Int'l. It arrived broken. Sent it back and upgraded to a BM200. The design has me captivated, I just stare at it. Very cool indeed!!
