So, I'm picking up a clam tonight from another reefer. It's a squamosa @ +/- 6". It is said to have two commensal shrimp. I'm not finding loads of info on commensal shrimp, but nothing that would scare me so far. I have kept crocea, derasa, maxima.

What do I need to know about both squamosa and commensal shrimp? Thanks.

I have a clear, with blue spots in my squamosa and haven't had any problems. My shrimp has yet to be identified and very hard to get a picture of. I've had my clam for almost a year and I assume the shrimp has been in there ever since I got it. From what I've read I agree with ezcompany.
