Hey, So i've had my 20 gal for about 2 months now and I've decided to get a 100gal now and I was wondering If for now I could run it skimmerless becase I'm only going to put the small fish I have in my tank into the new tank until I can buy a skimmer. The tank is going to have a 30 gal sump/refug. The fish I have now is a pair of clowns about 1 inch long each. A six-line about an inch long. A diamond spot goby about 2 inches long. And one cleaner shrimp. With some zoas and shrooms also. Could I not have a skimmer for now? Thanks for the help ya'll.

Sure you can run a tank without a skimmer. Just keep up on your water changes and you will be fine.

Sure thing. Skimmer helps a lot and is vital if you have coral or heavy bioloads. But a few small fish in 100+ gallons of H2O will be fine.

yeah, you wouldn't get any skim for a while anyway. 100 gal, you'll be fine.

Ok, well it won't be for long. Just a month or so until I get more money. Ya'll should watch for my build thread I'm gonna start. It'll probably be slow since I'm buying it piece by piece. I am getting the tank in a week or two.
