whats the best for herbivors/omnivors to give nutritution but keep phosphates down. currently use marine s and formula 2, mysis shrimp once a day.

In my opinion, nobody really knows. For whole prey items, rinsing off the liquids frozen with the food might help some, but that's as far as I'd go.

There shouldn`t be any foods with phosphates .

One of those "building block things' every thing/one has phosphates .. some more than others. In the enclosed environment in our tanks its probably the "secret" source of most of the long term algae issues we have. Phosphates are easy to put in our tank but are tough to remove.

I was worried about this too...after reading the ingredients list... Formula One (frozen) has copper sulfate. Pro Green Plus (frozen) has Phosphorus and Copper.
