Hey guys was just wondering if i got the right kit to test my Calcium? How do you get ppm's from this???? it only has Start/End :confused:

I would get a better test kit . I`ve used that and API test kits in the past and found Instant Oceans test kits very good .

icic, hmm but how do you get PPM from Start/End??? what does this do?? hehe am soo lost :confused:

I use Salifert, but I would assume with the kit you have that all you do is count the drops you used to reach the end color. The kit should have a chart showing what the ppm is for how many drops you used.

I just started using salifert after many other brands over the years. I have to say that nothing else is as accurate.

I have that same test kit... count the drops of bottle A used... it's all explained in the instructions. If it's the Red Sea kit that reads in increments of 50 ppm (which it looks like that one), each drop of bottle A used equals 50 ppm of calcium.

I also used to use the red sea calcium test kit and I works ok, but you never know how accurate they are.
