I'm going to kill lights till friday have cabbage leather candy, few zoos is this going to hurt them?

It might, and it won't really help the algae problem unless you remove the nutrient fuel that is allowing it to grow. Once the light comes back on it will most likely come back.

Yes, algae is mainly caused by increase in phosphates--overfeeding, not using r/o water etc.
Turning the lights off does not solve the problem--in most cases the algae resumes once they are back on.
a phosban reactor is a relatively cheap investment---they do wonders for removing the algae's food.

I would get a phosban reactor that will help alot in stopping the algae.

it wont help. i tried it, ended up with a dead shroom thats trying to recover. i shut off the lights for 2.5 days with indirect sunlight. it did go down while the lights were out and was not visible, but ones the lights were back on it was there
