This is definitely an awesome tank. I'm so glad to see that that is an OBT, I was thinking thats what I had, but wasn't sure until I saw your pics. I got such a great deal on my frag of it that I need to go back and get another:) The store I bought it from wasn't sure what it was.

Where are the outlets to the OM? Your tank is so beautiful. I hope someday to have something half that nice. =) Your wife did a great job aquascaping. See us women can help too. =) I like where your Tunzes are. They are hardly noticeable. You must be so proud of your tank. That birdsnest is beautiful. Your tort is drop dead. Well, actually all of the corals are! Sheesh. Your tank , "MUY CALIENTE!!!"

In your 2nd picture...there is a colony of Zoanthids...is there some type of Monti by it? It doesn't look like a Monti Cap. It's beautiful too. Interesting growth pattern.

If I didn't see the surface in the picture of that birdsnest, I wouldn't believe there was water in this tank. How do you achieve such water clarity?

they are were the green circles are. We made them had to see so that you wouldn't notice them as much by having coral growing around them.

Thank you I couldn't have done the tank without her!

Hey mako, great shots. I read you use the 100mm 2.8 lens for those shots? I use the same lens on a canon 30D and I can't get close to those shots. I don't use a tripod, do you? How do you make the colors show up nicely, and also the more dark background and the coral is more highlighted? What settings did you use? Thanks.

I always use a tripod if not my pictures would look very bad.
I shoot in manual mode with the A-Dep setting
here is some info from one of my shots:
Exposure Time 0.005s (1/200)
Aperture f/2.8
ISO 400
Focal Length 70mm (guess: 408mm in 35mm)
Photo Dimensions 864 x 576

thats about all I do I'm not the best with the technical stuff on the camera I just follow what Weatherson did to take his photos
