Hi,
I have everything ready for my Kalk reactor except I need a dosing pump. I want to dose only at night independent of my top off. Can I hook up your new pump to a timer to only run at night and how would I set that up. I plan on putting the pump and reactor in my basement which would have a 12 ft head wall. Thanks for the quick reply since they are flying off the selves.

Yes, plug the pump's transformer into an appliance timer.

Would you then need to double the amount the daily dosage to make up for the 12 hours the pump is off?

That is what I am thinking too. He will let us know on Monday. I just this minute fired the reactor up but for today I am running it 24 hours and have it set at 1.2 liters a day which I think equals 50ml/hr. I am starting SLOW. The pH in my Kalk. reactor is at 12.3 and my tank is 7.9. I also have a calcium reactor and my current alk is 10.6, hope to pretty much just raise the pH. On the safe side I am increasing the pH in my CA reactor to 6.6 from 6.4.

Ray,
You're right about doubling the total amount for 12 hours.
Here's a different situation from a caller on Friday:
He wanted to dose a half gallon in 8 hours, so
.5 gal = 3.785/2 = 1.89 liters
1.89 x (24/8) = 1.89 x 3 = 05.67 = set FLOW

Thanks Scott,
My first calibration with the pump and tubing downstairs and it set the rate at 250ml, then I recalibrated it with the tubing at the tank upstairs and it now show the rate at 176. Does this sound right..

Yes,
That's why we ask you to run the calibration routine after you set the plumbing up.
