So everywhere i hear that you should not SKIMP on a skimmer...

but as far as I know, as skimmer SKIMS all the organic wastes from the water.. along with that, it removes GOOD nutrients i hear..

so why get such a strong skimmer? isn't it better to get a weak one, so it can maintain some nutrients and remove some wastes??:confused: im flabbergasted...

No need to be flabbergasted...
It may remove SOME beneficial nutrients but you would have to have a skimmer that is so over-sized to even come close to being a problem.
P.s. it probably wont remove ALL of the organic waste either.
