Anyone ever try a blue indoor/outdoor rope light as a night lite?

I was looking at the blueish rope lighting in walmart today and thought.


Wonder what this would like over my tank for nite lighting and almost bought it just to try it. It was only like $9 for 8 or 16 ft or something like that.

Anyone try it?

They're somewhat bright but I've seen them used before :)

I would say way too bright.

I have the red version in my home theater room and they are pretty bright (and blue would be brighter).
