Is 36" to wide to light with a traditianl hood with 2x metal hallide + compacts? Will there be dark spots?

im considering, 48x36x24. I am looking at the hamilton DLX hood, 2x 250 mh, 2. 96 w PC. 48 inck long hood.

i would use some lumerarc with some T5's on the sides...
