I have a black Sun Coral that I have had for a week or two now. A few days ago, I noticed that around the middle of one of the black trunks/tubes on the outside of the coral, there is a bright neon green spot. I didn't notice it earlier in the week; I think it has just appeared in the last few days.

Does it sound like something is wrong with the sun coral? Could this green spot be some kind of benign coral growing on top of the sun?

Thanks for any suggestions.

Hey, it might be the color of the corals mouth. I have a black sun coral that when it is eating, you can see a neon green color on its mouth.
When it is done eating and closes its mouth, the color goes away.

Take a pic and we can tell you what it might be.
