Tank has been cycling for about 2 1/2 weeks. I have started noticing these clear looking bugs with a brownish stripe down its back along with bunch of legs and also has antenna (feelers i guess). What are these creature and are they good or bad?

I also noticed a real small white worm in there yesterday. Basically solid white, slick looking about a little less than an inch. Anyone know what this is also?

I also have a little brown branch on the side of a rock. It almost looks like a feather duster as far as having a stem and branches off of that. But it does not retract in. I have had this new rock about 4 days and have not noticed until last nite. I rearranged the rock yeterday so i may have had it covered or somthing. But there was no way i could have missed it. It just popped up.

Then i am to believe that there are a lot of feather duster. They are real small and will retract in. I only bout 10 pounds of rock wich equalled about 4 pieces of rock to go along with the rock i already had that was basically just base rock. I have seen lots of them little bugs and only 1 of them worms. And have about 6 feather dusters. And just that one brown branch.

Can Anyone tell me if these things are good or bad?

Thanks All!

Sounds normal to me. Don't over analyze every little thing you see in tank. I had tank established for over 9 years that still had things that came out that I have no idea they were there.

This site is great in helping ID those things:
