Hey guys, I was wondering if a Kitchen Counter would be ok to use to have my 37g tank sit on.

I didn't know if they would have to get reconstructed or not.
Cause I was looking today at Home Depot and saw some that I liked that thought hell I should get one for the tank..

But wanted to ask you guys first if it would be ok or not

Having fish in the kitchen is bad because of cooking fumes, etc.

I wouldn't put it in the kitchen but if you wanted to use kitchen counter material as a platform, then get something that won't warp or is water proof (granite, marble, or silestone).

Yes, it will work fine as a base. Just support it just like you would any other material... with 2x4's...

Oh crap that came out wrong...I'm not going to put it in the kitchen I was going to use one of the counters as a stand for my fish...

how would I support it with 2x4's? On the corners?

Ya think it would cause any stress for the fish as they watch dinner being prepared on friday nights? :lolspin:
