I would like to have more than one Tang. My tank is 175 gal and was wondering how many Tangs I could have. I know that they need to be the last fish introduced and that they should be put in at the same time. Thanks for the help!

Well I'll start this off. That's a good size tank, it depends on the tangs size. When they're small I would say 4 - 5.

depends on species, smaller 4 maybe 5 larger 2 or mix large 1 to smaller:bum:

You can put three or more yellows in a tank that size. Don't try that with any other types though.I plan on a yellow and a powder blue in my 125 ( six footer for you police out there). Also know that some well really all tangs are not extremly hardy. Yellows and purples , really most of that species tend do be a little hardier than others. Powder blue, Achilles, powder brown , Hippo and a few others are ich prone so be sure you can deal with that problem if it comes up. You don't want to tear down a tank to catch a fish to treat it, not fun. Naso tangs are cool but I have no experiance with them.Good luck and enjoy whatever you decide.

Thanks for the info. I have only one so far on the must have list. A Purple from there I am open to suggestions.
