You have to keep dropping KH solution until it changes from CYAN to yellow. every drop..swirl it and wait 30 sec and resume until color change to yellow...hth.

Did you retest again? From my understanding you need to wait 30 sec after every drop of the KH solution...
Are you supplementing your ALK? If so, what is it? Reactor?
Let's wait until we could contact Jesse tomorrow...sorry but hang tight..your issue will be resolve.;)

It will first turn a blue hue, then as soon as it shifts from a blue/green to a yellow/orange that is it.
Should happen for you between drop 7 and 10, if it happens at 30 your tank would probably look like a fossil slab.

Lowbudget, I have a few questions. What salt are you using? Is it more of a burnt orange or a bright orange and finally, does it always stay orange or does it turn blue first? My suspicion is the kit has somehow been exposed to the heat. If you have shaken the reagent well and when you drop the reagent into the vial the reagent bottle is completely vertical, it is hard to imagine it being over 20. Kh is the easiest test kit to produce and this just sounds like one that somehow got damaged and this can happen. Just send me a pm with your address and a new one will go out today. Hope that helps.
