Thanks Chad. In a way, there are some similarities between the two. When my BB was healthy, it had some insane color combos.

I hope the 6205 works out for my tank. I've always like Tunze stuff. They have top notch quality and customer service.

I haven't put it in yet. I am supposed to be getting my light rack on Tuesday. For the rack to go on, I'll have to redo some of the plumbing, mainly get rid of the 2 SS, so the rack can sit on the tank. The plan is to wait for that to happen first before putting the Wavebox and the 6205 in. Can't wait.

Thanks Mark. It's a gorgeous piece. This is the second piece I just got. The first one hasn't grown or colored up much so I decided to try another one. It's great when things go right :)

I still need to make a photobox for the dSLR. Most of the top down shots right now are done in the frag tank with the flow off. That's the reason you only see top downs of the smaller corals that can be shuttled between the tanks. Once I get off my lazy butt and make the photobox, I'll be able to shoot the large colonies in the 300.

Sara, that's the Orange Sherbert I got from racerw in a trade recently. I was floored when I took it out of the bag and put it into the tank.

Stacie - thanks for chiming in. Where do you have your piece placed in your tank? I would love to keep those colors.


Sara - definitely move yours. I would love to see a large colony pic when available. I usually try to keep the corals in the same place for a few months to see how they do. If there is no improvement, I move them somewhere else to try and find them a good spot.

Thanks John. They are really shy. I was only able to catch them out and about during feeding. Hope they come out more as they get more comfortable.

Well, we got it on. It's a bit of a tight fit. The brackets weren't far enough apart on the left side. Problem solved with a pair of pliers :D Pix coming soon. I promise. Just have to finish some of the plumbing first.

I usually resize and save them in sizes from 150k-400k each, then upload them to Photobucket. From there, you can link the photos without having to upload to RC and it's size restriction.

Yeah, I am loving them so far. They were an impulse buy for sure. I've researched them as much as I could but thought I would finally take the plunge. I actually got 3 different pairs. Well, they aren't actually paired up per se. It's cool though because they are definitely hanging out together. The two pairs of Dragon Face and Greens are in the 300 and the pair of Banded are in the prop tank. In hindsight, I should have put the Greens in the prop instead of the Banded.

Joe, pardon the pipefish newb here, but what are Janz??? :o They are doing fine so far, pretty much staying on the sandbed and hanging around in the corners. I saw one of them actually hiding in a colony of zoas with only it's head poking out last night :lol:

I've actually been meaning to start feeding RN but just never got around to it. It only took me about a year and a half to get the light rack :lol: Looks like I'll have to get some RN sooner than later though. Even if the pipes don't go after them, they are good for the tank.

Thanks Mark. I mainly shoot with the 100mm. Tried the other 2 but didn't work out as well. I keep the ISO around 800 or 1600 and the F stop around 3.2-5.0. That give me a pretty decent shutter of around 150-250 depending on lighting. Quick enough to get the majority of the fish.

This thing is only about 1" but it sure is sPookY lookin' :lol: It's creepy how it "walks" with it's pectoral fins and when the lights are out, that lil' white thing on it's forehead dangles out front. I almost put my finger in there just to see what happens :eek2:

I just couldn't pass the lil' guy up when I saw him. He's residing in the prop tank permanently. I doubt he can get his tiny mouths around a 4"+ yellow tang or a 5"+ Lawnmower Blenny, although he just may try :lol: I see him snapping at things so he must be eating. I wouldn't take the chance and put him in the 300 b/c of too many smaller fish that would make a delicious meal.

Thanks Lamb! No, I haven't had any heat issues. The only cooling is via 3 fans on a temp controller. I hope I don't have to resort to an A/C or chiller.

Thanks Sara. It has changed quite a bit since you were here last. I can tell the tank has really matured and settled down quite a bit. Corals are growing well and starting to color up little at a time.

The only problem with a bigger tank and more room is that you want to put more corals in it. And it ends up looking exactly like the smaller tanks before, just more massive. I really had to pick things I wanted to keep and those that I can do without to keep the open look in this tank. There are still several grown out colonies that I need to unload, but I can only take so much pain at one time.

Thanks! I wished I had the resources to QT everything. Unfortunately, all I can do is take great care when introducing anything new and hope for the best. It's been ok so far but I did have a mishap early on with some fish.
