I am considering a 180 or 210 reef upgrade and would like to know if a 75g sump would be enough for these systems.
Thanks!

It depends on the space you have, the equipment you want to place in it. Do you want to place the return pump, skimmer, 'fuge all with in? I believe if properly planned I think that a 75 would be fine for a 180/210.

at this point I plan for the pumps to be external, although in sump might be an option.

A 75g tank will be plenty big enough.

A 75g would be a great size. You might want to consider a Rubbermaid stock tank if you have the room. ;)
