I had a 12 Gallon Aquapod that the fan burnt out in. Only lasted a few months. I Contacted Current and they sent me new ones. I don't know what Oceanic would do. You could ask where you bought it from. They may have some kind of warrenty.

I have a 14 gallon.. my fans didnt burn out but I have an idea...
When i upgraded my lights they came with new fans..Although probably cheaper to buy the fans (computer fans and wire)
The wiring was a breeze oce i got into it. Good luck. I hope there is not a short..Was there a surge or something?

Since I'm just setting up my 29 Biocube, I still have the paperwork handy. Big yellow card in mine says:

fOR TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE OR WARRANTY ISSUES
CALL OCEANIC SYSTEMS
800-255-4527
8 AM TO 4 PM PST OR

email: customerservice@oceanicsystems.com

From what I was reading, they should replace your fan. Warrant page says 12 months on all electrical devices and 24 months from leaks/cracks. If cracked/leaking return to dealer of purchase for an exchange. For all electral call or email.

Cooling fan part number for 29: 82009

Good luck,

Great for you...

Probably a liability issue for them. Cheaper to send new top, than ask you to rewire it and face other potential liabilities. At least this customer service experience is good.
