Just wanted to know if anyone had any experience with the three stage filtration in the nano cube deluxe.

Im trying to decide if i even want to keep the foam/skimmer and the bioballs. please let me know.

You do not want to keep the bioballs or the ceramic rings.

I have:

Chamber 1 (Surface Skimmer), Chemi-Pure packet on the bottom, Filter Floss or Sponge on top (Clean sponge weekly if you use one, replae floss weekly if you use that).

Chamber 2 - Purigen packet on the botton, phosban as needed

Chamber 3 - Maxijet 1200 upgraded pump, (a maxijet 900 works just as well and is better).

Hope that helps

do you think i should take all the foam out also. i have three good size squares in chamber 1.

seems to me the foam would be far worse at capturing nitrates then the rings and balls.

What colinadam said. That's how I have mine setup. I have my heater in chamber 2. I also have a second MJ1200 in my third chamber for my chiller.

I didn't use any of the foam. I built a little stand out of egg crate to hold the filter floss in chamber 1.
